    Right now I'm currently using a "behind the neck" Sony headphones, which I like, but is now getting worn out and in need of a replacement.

    thinking of trying an earphone (or going back to an earphone) with similar or better base properties. also willing to try a wireless one, but those don't seem to be very affordable.

    Consider the Sony MDR EX71 or EX81 models. The Sennheisser CX300's are much better but they cost like $60 or so.

    consult head-fi.com!!!! they ll give you a lot of advices into which earphones or headphones... but be sure to state what you like.. do you want ur earphones to be isolating or not.?? :D
