Im looking to buy a high performance laptop cooler for my asus g53jw. I do not care if the fan is insanely loud all that matters is that its durable and gets the job done as i will not be taking it traveling it will be stationary so size/noise level does not matter.

If size noise does not matter then go for the NZXT Cryo LX (hard to find now) or CoolerMaster Sf-19. The one big problem with both of them is that you need to put in aftermarket fans ib both these coolers to realize their true potential. That said, the stock fans are much better in terms of cooling than any other cooler out there but good 3rd party fans really make them shine.

A notebook cooker? Most people want their laptops to be cooler, not hotter. :p

I'm actually looking to swap fans on my SF-19 right now. FrozenCpu is a really good place to get your fans - they have many options and a wide selection. I think which fans you would want to swap for really depends on what you're looking for. Since you don't care about noise, just look for the highest CFM you can get with 140 mm x 25 mm fans. It's a tradeoff between noise and CFM. I've been looking at getting the Scythes which are $10 on that site with some rubber 140 mm fan silencers.

With the SF-19, you'll find that the vibration of the fans is a bit of an issue. With the 140 mm rubber fan silencers, it's a lot better.

Half the people who clicked this thread probably wondered why one would want to cook their notebook...or thought you just big time hated coolers.
I chose the Cooler Master Notepal U3 because it has moveable fans, but it hasn't arrived yet so I can't tell you whether it actually works.

U3 is great. Adjustable fans and fan speed. Even on full blast I have to slide my hand under to make sure they're spinning. Very quiet.

If you want to go for a notebook cooler, you can try the Zalman ZM-NC1000 . It is a good one.

For several weeks, I have been using the Cooler Master U2 notebook cooler with my Dell M6600 mobile workstation. Micro Center had this item on sale for about $14.00. Had the store stocked the U3 model, I would have purchased the larger size with the third fan.

Nevertheless, the U2 keeps the CPU and GPU cores in the 44-to-50 degree Celsius range much of the time--about 10-to-15 degrees lower than the maximum temperatures that HWinFO64 indicates on routine processing. I encounter the higher temperatures briefly upon start-up and after post-hibernation activity.

The fans are sufficiently quiet that I use an external USB power supply charger to avoid stopping their rotation during computer hibernation.
