Hey so I have used demo programs like fruity loops and such and would like to know if anyone knew how to hook up a keyboard to a laptop and use the keyboard to create beats and techno melodies..etc.
I would like to know if anyone knew the cheapest but most efficient music creation program similar to fruity loops or something , but around $50 that all It would need is the ability to use a piano to make beats and music with plenty of sounds.
Thanks for any help : ) also if you know a cheap keyboard that is able to do this as well as I wouldn't need a fancy one but just one that can hook up and be used on a laptop. ThanKS

sorry of this is in the wrong section : ) also I found this software

and I was wondering if with this I could use a piano with an aux out (an old electric piano) to control the music beats and melodies or if I would need anew piano with a midi type plug or usb plug. Thanks for any help -
You'd need a keyboard. Most of them attach by USB. Most also include some sort of intro software.
e.g. this: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/KeyRig49.html
ACID Express is a free version of ACID that you can use to get your feet wet, as it were.
