I know people will disagree with me, but don't buy from targus, their quality was cheap.

If your getting a 15.4" lappy, I would personally suggest anything by Swiss Gear..they make some strong, durable, roomy, and reliable backpacks.

I have the Synergy by Swiss Gear...hands down ~ It's a FTW, for me.

Here are some links to some Swiss Gear Back Packs. I usually go with the ones at amazon.com, as they are usually priced fairly decent! ;)

    Synergy:

    Maxxum

    Pegasus

Here is link of several pages from amazon.com with various brands of 15.4" backpacks for you to also peruse...all the brands are noteworthy! :D

    Hope that helps! ;)

I have a Zalman NC2000 and have to agree that the Zalmans are top notch.

I also have a Notepal Infinite, and I recommend that one highly, as well. The Notepal Infinite and the Zalman NC2000 fit my 17.1 inch Toshibas comfortably.

A Xbox 360 controller might also serve well.

For bag i would highly recommend the Slappa Velocity Spyder. Awesome bag, I have one and i carry a 8lb laptop, + macbook, 2 chargers, headset, mouse, and some other stuff and it still doesnt give me any discomfort. Although the bags can be a bit pricey they are definitely worth it
