Has anyone here tried any of the two? I just can't decide. One has the trackball which might be nice, but the MS one seems more ergonomic.

Also I use excel and the arrows a lot and I am concerned about the MS one button arrow. Has anybody used extensively one of the two especially for work and browsing?

I don't need them for gaming.

    thanks

I have actually and prefer the arc keyboard (Logitech makes a real nice 'wave' one as well - excellent!). As you mentioned, very ergonomic and it's extremely quiet.

Check out the Logitech one - I use it now and prefer it over all of them.

i checked out logitech's website but they don't have one without numpad, they have a compact one but it's still too big. which one are you referring to?

so what did you think of the HP keyboard then?

I have the MS Arc Keyboard and I quite like it. The arrow keys take some getting use to, but I manage just fine programming with it so I think you should not take it out of consideration just because of the arrow keys.

I have the Arc Keyboard. I enjoy it alot.
    Pros
-very slim design making it perfect if you have a small desk.
-The arc makes it more comfortable to type on compared to traditional keyboard.
-The keys are low profile, so it not too loud when your typing.
    -volume up, down, mute keys
-battery life is very good. I have yet to replace the batteries.
    -small usb connection
-good enough for gaming. minimal lag.
    -distance is pretty good. +10ft.
-it has a magnetic slot to store your usb dongle

    Cons
-the keys and key spacing is alot tighter. If you are accustom to the traditional keyboard, you may find some difficulties typing.
-the arrow keys is terrible. very hard to use.
    -no number pad

I used the arc keyboard and it seemed to be a comfortable smaller keyboard, the "arc" feels nice while typing. Its also very light.

Edit: what red dragon3 said :D
