I have the MS BT 5000 for my XPS 1530..and have never had this problem.
From a quick search on the net' it looks like it could be a problem with HP's Quick Launch.
Quick Launch Buttons program, (QlbCtrl.exe). If you disable this program, the error should be gone.
I don't own a HP and not sure what what functionality is lost by disabling, but the message should go away.
Try this, and I'm hoping this will be the fix for you:
Here's what you should do:
- Click on the Vista logo on the bottom left of your screen
- In the search field, enter: msconfig
- Press enter to start the program
- Click continue if you get the popup of User Account Management
- Choose the startup tab in the System Configuration Window
- Browse to the "HP Quick Launch Buttons" and uncheck this item
- Click the OK button and restart your system
After you restart you should be good to go *fingers crossed*
