    Hi,
I have optical wireless mouse which was used with HP dv6 laptop for about 6 months. But it suddenly stop working on this laptop. I checked mouse on other laptop (XPS 16) and it works perfectly. So I thought that USB ports on HP dv6 is out, but I tried USB key and it works on every USB ports on HP.
I also preinstalled Windows on HP (Vista and Seven) but mouse still can't be used with HP.
    What's wrong? I really don't know...

It sounds like faulty mouse driver , try a re-install

EDIT : Also remove any mouse software you have installed.

I already pre-installed windows and nothing changed..
Before I didn't install any mouse driver and it was good.
Mouse is some I-tec wireless, I can't find any driver on the web for it.

    I'd actually blame the mouse...

A Genius Mouse did something similar - stopped working on one laptop - or it would work for a few seconds on XP then stop... worked under Linux and on other laptops...

I suggest that if you are in warranty you go for a replacement - I have no idea what actually causes that problem.

Same here... As far as peripherals go I usually buy Original Microsoft Hardware now because of that exact problem.

Edited the company name - it was Genius not Logitech...

    Anyway.
I don't think that's really the cause - plenty of Logitech Mice work well, my Vaio Mouse (no clue who built the internals) work fine...

That would be a better idea. If its really not doing good anymore, just try to replace something new.
