I want to get a mouse to go with my laptop which is mostly used for schoolwork and occasionally gaming on the go. It needs to be wireless with a small receiver. I already have a wireless mouse with a small receiver but it is not suitable for gaming at all.

Im not sure which of these options I should go for.

    1) Use the mouse I have and bring along another wired mouse with me.

    2) Get a good wireless mouse that does not lag.

    3) Get a hybrid mouse (e.g logitech g700, roccrat pyra, razer orochi). If i pick this i will most likely get the pyra as i think it is the most value for money.

I would tell you to buy a wired mouse over wireless . If you want to do gaming on a mouse then wired is always better .

Nah mate, on the G700 there's no noticeable lag. Primarily because the USB receiver is so bad :D Plus you have the option to go from wired to wireless.

I'm using a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse on my laptop. Mouse plays Skyrim, BF3, DayZ just fine with no mouse lag from what I can discern.
