i have logitech setpoint and a G9 mouse (not sure if this affects it, so i thought i would let you know)

Everytime i reboot i have to reset the speed of my mouse (the windows mouse speed, not through the logitech setpoint application). It keeps going back to about 7, but i want it at 3. What would be causing this?

The setpoint software causes this problem. I ran into the same thing with my mouse. Once I uninstalled the software, everything went back to normal.

i dont want to actually uninstall it though, i would like to be able to use the auto detect applications part of the setpoint software (ie. i want it to switch my profiles automatically depending on the app im using). Is there any other way around this?

None that I found. I didn't look particularly hard though.

I briefly ran into this problem... fixed it by going into Logitech Setpoint software -> Pointer, then check the box called "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration."
