my current intel Wireless N 130 in my laptop and it sucks beyond belief, no online gaming minute passes without crap load of lag spikes and sometime refuses to open a web page and stays like this until I reset the router, I know you're going to tell me it's the routers fault! the answer is no, because the other devices connected and works, and now using a chinese Cat5 cable now works like charm, sadly can't use the cable for a long time.

now I'm thinking of getting a better wireless card for this laptop. and I'm eyeing the bigfoot killer series.. any recommendations?

it's been proven that the card itself was the source of problem! the card was changed and ran perfectly..now I just need to get another "fast" network card..

Killer Wireless makes some of the best, if not the best wireless cards.

I got the 6300 Ultimate-N card, despite only having two antennae. I can connect to routers from well over 5x the distance and still have 3-4 bars. I.E. I can reach most routers from 100 feet away through several walls with 3 bars. It's definitely worth the cash. :D

If you can get a hold of the Killer 1102 though, it's considerably better in terms of response times. I've yet to stress my wireless capabilities beyond a quarter of what they're supposedly able to do. I've managed to attain a 143MB/s download rate at a friend's house... they had FiOS. :3

    N1103 or N6300 , personally I found N6300 is much more stable in x amount of ms/ping , N1103 is much faster , lower ms/ping & wide range then N6300.

ok I only need someone to confirm me about the killer drivers, searched for a bit and found a not very pleasent impression about their drivers, do I need to know something about their drivers before I order one?

    thanks :)

What about the drivers? They work fine. I've upgraded my 1103 drivers twice.

I don't trust Amazon reviews. They are usually a bunch of noobs who have absolutely no clue of what's going on. Killer Wireless is a very popular among the power user industry. I highly think they got there by including adware with their drivers.

The Amazon reviewer must be talking about the Network Manager Software. It is actually a very nice tool. I use it all of the time. Either way, it's optional. You don't need to use it if you don't want to. The reviewer likely didn't know how to use the software to it's fullest potential.
