which is better: Logitech z2300 or Creative I-Trigue L3800?

i'm quite leaning towards the Creative right now mainly because of the size and the price. i can get it at $119.99 - a $50 rebate = $69.99 while the logitech is about $110+. the logitech's subs is also way bigger, my room isnt that big so its a negative for me

please give some comments on the speakers if you own one of them. sound quality etc.

    thanks

Depending on the type of music you listen too. Z2300 have tons of bass, and lots of it. L3800 has better clarity but lack bass (enough for me, but for bass heads it need more).

I'd probably go with the Logitech Z2300 but I am a bass head. But even over the Z2300's I'd take a Klipsche ProMedia 2.1 system.

The Klipsch is cheaper as well since it is older. For music etc it is hard to beat.

If you can, go to a store and listen to them :)

"CNET has a review and says that [the I-Trigue] isn’t quite as good as the Logitech Z-2300s but it is still pretty good non the less. And what the Creative I-Trigue L3800 has that the other speaker system doesn’t is a wireless remote control."

I don't really like CNET, but it's a good idea just to search out reviews of both and try to get as many opinions as possible before making your choice.

I recently purchased Creative Gigaworks T20 2.0 speakers. I don't have that much space either, hence not wanting a subwoofer. This pair had great reviews, the only down side that most noted was the bass. However, after listening to them I found that there's plenty bass for my taste.

The key is to, if you can, listen before you buy!
Turn all the knobs and see what they can do ;)

Klipse Promedia Ultra are the best PC speakers I ever heard. offtopic I guess since they are 5.1 and decently expensive.

Of the two, I would also recommend the Z2300s. Good set of speakers.

I own the Z-2300s and I'd also give the nod to them. They are THX certified and have great clarity. Bass is excellent and the volume gets extremely loud. I don't think I have ever reached a point where there was sound distortion.

I'd go Klipsh Promedia, too. But of the choices, Logitech. It's really not much of a choice, the Creative don't have much going for them.

^^^wooo! good choice, never heard the Klipsch but I don't think I would notice a difference from my Z-2300's.

and like Chaz said, there is just never ever ever any distortion.

    Agrees with consensus.

/cranks up volume on own Z-2300's - irritates gf, son, neighbors, surrounding birds, chipmunks and stray dogs :D
