need help on making a decision about which usb flash drive to buy so it would work with both Win Xp Pro brand new laptop, Win Me 6 years old desktop and other Win Vista machines. Looking for a 4GB under $30.00, any suggestions? Thanks for your fast and knowledgeable input

Dont go with the standard flash voyagers they are slow.

I have both a 4gb and a 2GB flash voyager GT. They are excellent flash drives. They are also the fastest usb memory cards.

    This site helped me choose:

    for 2GB usb drives
    http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/hardwarecanuck-reviews/1019-2gb-flash-drive-roundup.html

    for 4gb usb drives
    http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/4gb-usbflash-roundup.html

    Good luck choosing
I bought the GT's and I have never had any issues. Theyre fast reliable waterproof etc. The only downfall, is that I sometimes loose the rubber usb cap.

I find that the OCZ drives have good quality and performance, so take a look at those.

The Voyager GT drives are also excellent, I'm considering getting of those (I have a 1GB drive and might end up needing more space).

Corsair's Voyager GT is 2x the price of ocz and sony is $48.00

so i got ocz for $32.99 plus $4.99 shipping from newegg.com

they were out of ocz for $31.99 with aluminum chassis and Speed: Up to 28MB/s (read),15MB/s (write) so for an extra $1.00 i got myself a ocz with rubber chassis and waterproof and debrisproof and shock resistant and true plag and play functionality and unique chained cap holder and Speed: Read: 30-34MB / second Write: 14-15MB / second

    Thanks again Chaz

Awesome, nice choice. I have an aluminum OCZ stick - it is durable enough but I wouldn't mind getting something more durable in the future. OCZ still looks like the company to go to.
