i recently had to replace the AC Adaptor for my Sager 2090. i now have a Targus ac70u. the only model my wal-mart carried. but it still seemed like a pretty solid unit. and it was spendy ($62!!!)

so i get the right jack, all the cables are secure. i plug it in and the little blue light comes on and i have power.

but after, say 5 minutes. no matter what kind of activity on my pc. it just shuts off. it will still be plugged in. but the light goes off&no juice flows into the notebook.

can anybody help? ive noticed, that everywhere on the net there is a shortage of solid AC Adaptor help&knowledge.

You should have bought a real adapter for it. Those universals are crummy and don't always work with every laptop.

Did you look at the power rating?

It could be s safety feature. Did you make sure your Sager and the adapter use the same voltage?

Hmm...I would go buy another one just to make sure the current one you have is not broken. And if it is then you know this universal AC isn't the right one.
