Looking for a nice looking, lightweight backpack for a 12" laptop, with good space for books. Would prefer one with a built in sleeve. The crumpler bags are nice, but the medium sized backpack is too big, and while the sleeve of the salary sacrifice is good, the bag itself has very limited storage capacity. Any suggestions?

I like the Tom Bihn Brain Bag. It has a ton of space, but is very expensive. Browse through eBags and see if anything strikes you. What's available turns over so fast we can't keep up with reviews.

Thanks- I had seen that one mentioned. I was hoping to find one with a built-in sleeve, although it does seem like their sep. sleeves got great reviews. Do you know if the interior dimensions of the Monolith sleeves are exact, or is there some room (it is a little small in the width with the extended battery for me)?

They're flexible, so there will be a bit of wiggle room.

I know the Size 5 Monolith has interior dimensions of approximately 11.8 × 10 × 1.5 inches, and with the extended battery the laptop's dimensions are closer to 10.83 X 10.5 x .94- anyone know if it has an extra half inch of give in the width of the case (which is the depth of the machine, since it is a vertical bag)?

Booq bags are very nice, but also very expensive. You can get bag + sleeve combos from them.

Try www.roadwired.com - they make nice bags as well.
