I was one of the people that started the whole movement to use notebook coolers... especially for gaming notebooks.

.. and made the Rivatuner guide... and continue to lecture people to regularly clean out their notebooks once every two months.

I hate hearing people damaging their systems due to overheating from dust and/or not using the notebook on a good surface.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll browse the web to try and find the lowest price. Just wondering if there were you would recommend for a lower price as well since I am kind of on a tight budget...

I found a cpl. reviews for the Bytecc searching the forums and the main notebookreview.com site.. they weren't that great or that bad either...on 1 site I just found.there's no adjustable fan speed and others have said they wished the fans were larger...also not very portable...mostly it'll be on my desk, but I might need portability as well...well let me know what you think about yours...thanks

I agree with X2P... i saw the knock-off in a local computer store.

It looks the same, but man was it cheap when you exam and try it out.

well, I'm not even going to give that knock-off a 2nd thought and save some bucks for the Zalman..right now, just to get some better airflow, I slid a cpl. Altoid cans under the back and front..at least now the fan's not heating up my desk..this is just a temp solution until I can get the cooler..

Just wanted to comment, I like your Altoid Can solution. Lol. Anyway, I have heard that Zalman is a good brand for laptop coolers. I've never used one though. Persnally, I use a Targus Lapdesk. It had no fans, just vents. But it works good fo me because it doesn't get too hot even while gaming. Anyway, hope you get what your looking for.

thanks a lot ahl....I read on another thread about someone using Altoid cans and eventually still had a hot laptop..well so far it works for me as a temp. solution until I get the extra cash to spend..
