    Hello,

I have an IBM T43, and often when I run graphic/cpu intense programs (such as games) the bottom of the laptop can get really hot. Does anyone have a cooling pad that they would reccomend for use with the IBM t43?

    thanks

Targus and Antec make decent cooling pads. CircuitCity has the Antec on sale for $15 (after rebate).

Try the specs on the Ra'zer X NBS. Suppose to have some pretty cool features and a sweet intro price at $24.99.

I found that a piece of wood about 2 inchs wide, by about 2 foot long works nicely.

Anyone else think that that site is a little weird.. the razer one? Not only do they want to sell you their cooler, but they want to make you a better person while they're at it.. odd. And lots of typo's too. I wouldnt trust them.

I was just wondering if anyone used any cooling pad for their dell inspiron E1505,( or another widescreen 15.4 laptop) if so, what one they used, if they liked it...etc.

I've checked out once on newegg but they all look so...cheap...and I have heard very mixed reviews of them. Just wondering what everyone thinks of the cooling pad thing, in general, I suppose.

I'm not concerned about the temperature on my lap, just want to prolong it's life since I know running at 50C all the time might not be the best...Would love to keep it cooler if I could so it lasts as long as possible!!

Oh, I have also been removing the battery when I am goign to be running only on AC power for long periods (aka all day). I have heard this will keep the battery from dying so quickly. Is this true?(I keep the battery at 40% when i's just sitting on the shelf, in a padded envelope ;))

    Thanks for input in advance
    -E :)

    Hi!
Sorry my first post is a question.

I ordered a dell E1705 with 7900GS graphic card. I'm wondering what's a good cooling solution for the E1705. I did a search in the forums but didn't show some good topics.

I now inclined to Spire Pacific Breeze CF300-NEB.

Is there any other good suggestions for a wide screen 17" laptop?

    Thanks in advance! :D

Does yours run really hot? I have the same pc, and I use I8kFANGUI. It's great, and I never need a cooling pad. For typing and web, I set the fans to slow. For gaming I set them to high, or use a cooling profile. It's great! On Topic though, from what I hear the Pacific Breeze is a good cooler, it's just a little loud.

oops I just posted about this in the accessories catagory! haha didnt realize you'd just posted essentially the same topic.

I'm gonna look into the coolers you guys are talkin about :)
In regards to the pacific breeze..I'm confused as how it would be effective because the fans arent actually..under the laptop(at least it doesnt look like from the pic.) It could be, I guess I'm just not seeing it, haha

I put all the cooling pad threads together so you guys can find your information/recommendations easier.

The Spire Pacific Breeze cooler is good, but loud (very noticable).

Thanks Chaz. Any idea about how many degrees the Pac Cooler will take it down?

Arla, do you just use the wood to elevate the back of your laptop? And does it actually work, lol?

And yes nahog99, I think that "Razor" site or whatever it is is REALLY weird haha def wouldnt trust em, I saw were he posted on a few other threads and it was kinda strange.

Lastly, I'm considering picking up the Antec one from CC. For the price I'd like to give it ago, wondering if anyone has any personal experience w/ it?

This was filled with questions, gosh, haha I'm sorry.

Thanks, and sorry for the troubles.

    Are they really loud?

Then it's really hard to find a good cooler for 17" wide screen laptop :(

I have a E1505 and was also considering getting a cooling pad.
Are there any pads out there that are realatively inexpensive and quiet?
I would prefere to buy it from OfficeDepot/BestBuy/CircuitCity but online from places like newegg would be acceptable.

Thanks for taking a look at our website, and pointing out the typos. We appreciate your honesty regarding the content of our site.

I assure you the Ra'zer X NBS is a real product, yes we are a real company. We are not asking for any money or for anyone to purchase the Ra'zer X NBS. As you visit our site which is still undergoing some construction, you will notice that we have held back the option to purchase the Ra'zer X NBS.

We are offering those of you the option to purchase the Ra'zer X at a great price $24.99, with "NO OBLIGATION TO BUY" only because we have visit many web forums and there are many of you that are looking for a product that offers you cooling options and some comfort.

Our effort is to bring to the public a product that encompasses many of the normal attributes that we feel that any standard notebook stand or pad should provide.

Over the next several weeks, while we are in production we will simply be adding pics and images and additional materials to the site.

The Ra'zer X has been in production and design for a while, and we know that the features will contribute to any notebook user's comfort.

If we are a little wierd, and being wierd makes us different, and the Ra'zer X NBS is viewed as a different product from the other pads and stands we have seen, then we are happy that we are on the right path.

Thank you for reconfirming our direction with the Ra'zer X. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Soon you will be able to "Work and Game Anywhere"

I will be honest I must be going deaf as I can barely hear my Pacific Breeze. I am using it with a P105-S9312 and it keeps it very cool.

    Certainly a great value.
To me, it seems quite loud - perhaps the fact that my desk is in a corner, the sound is magnified a bit, but the Spire is signifigantly louder than other coolers I have used. It will cool your notebook better than any other will though, especially for $15.

the thing about coolers is that you have to match the fans up with your vents and/or heat producing spots ie hard drive correctly to get the best cooling. I personally like either the Spire pacific breeze or the Bytecc aluminum cooler. both can be found on newegg.com.

Yeah, the big thing is to get air moving in the right direction. For me it is counterproductive to use a targus cooling pad because it sucks air away from the computer, but I need air in the bottom of it.
