    I've got a dell e1705.

Now I need the back pack.

However, I've only found two that seem to fit it for (well) under $100. The stm large loop and the targus xl backpack.

    17 inch screen

    price is of first importance

have you checked out www.ebags.com ? they have a pretty massive selection, though the 17" bag market is still a bit limited.

If you're in Europe, check out the Pakuma Akara backpacks. They are reasonably priced, and everybody I've talked to lloves them. I wish I could get one in America at a decent price. Another backpack to look at that fits a 17" notebook is the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack. It's a great backpack, however, if you're looking to use it in school, the flap might be a bit of a hassle. That's the reason I'm selling mine. It's great for trips, LAN parties, and just general use. Be sure to check out the List of makers, reviews, and retailers.

Have you tried the Dell backpack? It's rather unexpensive. I use it on my 9300 which is basically the same as yours.
