Next fall I just might be spending a month or two in Italy.

If so, I'll need to carry a laptop for some work I'll be doing.

Can I take a U.S. laptop and use it with a convertor or something like that?

    thx

Most laptop power bricks support universal voltage, 110-240volts. Just check it and it should say somewhere on the power brick. :) If so, you just need to buy an ac plug adapter which are really cheap. :)

Edit: A quick google search yielded this. Italy uses 230 volts at 50hz.
There's tons of adapters here at amazon, some for just a couple bucks.
