I have a Canon all-in-one and the black and colour ink ran out so I decided to refill them at those ink place instead of buying the really expensive cartridges...however, when I put them back in, the printer will not read them as full and I will get these annoying flashing lights on my printer screen and LED...so I was wondering is there anyway to bypass it or trick the printer??

    thanks

Some Canon printers ship with an option to reset levels. I refill as well; I have a Dell that does not let me reset the levels and one out of my two cannons that do. Try rummaging through the printer properties for a reset dialog. Good luck.

Yeah, this is one of the ways the printer manufacturers rip you off. They have sensors that estimate the ink level and will claim to be empty even though there still may be ink in them. Which model printer do you have? I was looking at a few things giving suggestions on how to reset the cartridge but it only works on certain models. Have you tried unplugging the printer to reset it?
