Hello! Is there anybody who can help me? Got a problem with my acer aspire 4715Z mic when I talk over the net. I can hear them from the other end but they can't hear me. When I adjust the volume control, it's the volume of their voice that's adjusted not mine. Thanks . . .

    Is the mic physically muted?
Is the mic muted in the program?
Is the mic plugged in properly?
Are you using a push-to-talk key? (and if so, are you pushing it?)
Are you using voice activated function? (If so, is it set high enough to activate when you speak?)

If you still can't get it

    What program are you using?
What have you done to try to correct the issue already?

It's the built-in mic in my laptop. My OS is Windows xp. When I talk to my family through Yahoo Messenger they can't hear my voice. I'm only asdjusting the volume control that I find here but it's their voice that's being adjusted. They say they hear me but very faintly.
