This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    hi, my inspiron 640m won't read my pcmcia firewire card whenever i put it in. whenever i put it in, it looks like it's only going in half way. also the firewire card has a light on it that's suppose to light up when it's in, but it doesn't.

    yah, when i put it in a different laptop it works fine. only my laptop is having this problem.
