    razer deathadder MAC edition work with windows?

    I was wondering if the razer deathadder MAC edition works with windows? i found a good deal on one and i am thinking about buying it for a friend who just got into PC gaming.

    It works just fine. The only difference is the white LED's instead of blue, and the fact that it's 1,800 DPI while the regular DeathAdder is 3,500.

    Why are they differently spec'd? Seems pretty silly on Razer's part...

    I think the Mac version was released at the same time as the first gen Deathadder, but the one for Windows got an upgrade, while the Mac version did not (probably because Mac users are all using their fancy Apple mice so the cost of upgrading it doesn't exceed the potential profit it will bring).

    AGP got it right. The original DeathAdder for Windows was also 1,800 DPI. It recently got a refresh with the new 3,500 DPI sensor and braided cable. It seems they just haven't gotten around to bringing that to the Mac edition yet, or maybe they're not planning to.

    Also when I use my PC 3500 DPI death adder on my mac the drivers only allow me to go up to 1800 DPI.
