    Basically I am looking for some relatively inexpensive external speakers (up to 40 bucks) where I can hear dialog from tv/movies (it seems some speakers have decent volume for music, but not so good for movies). It doesn't have to have a subwoofer, though I don't mind it if it does. Size is a bit of an issue because I don't have much space.

    I'm not sure how to delete this thread, I just pulled the trigger on a speaker set, hopefully it will work out.
