    i am trying to connect my laptop to my tv i used hd lead but no sound my laptop book says connect via s video but all the leads i have seen do not have the red yellow and white connectors.they also state they do not carry sound can anyone help please

    Your post is illegible, Please follw proper punctuations at least. U should understand that no audio is conveyed through the S video port. To get Audio you will have to take it from the laptops headphone connector port

    What is your notebook and TV model ?
    Only HDMI supports both audio and video; S-Video, VGA or any other video standard does not carry audio.
