Well, so far the 8GB version has gotten one 5 star rating on bestbuy.com. I am quite interested in this one as well. 16 GB would be just enough for me to be willing to pick up a flash-based player.

I have the 2GB C series, and even though it is a step down from the higher GB models, its one of the best MP3 players around, and for the $, the Sansa series are great products. I bought mine for 79.99 and put a 2GB microSD card in it for another 25, and im rockin'! LOVE IT!

no offense, but i've used all of the others ones you've guys described and I don't really care, lol. I just want to know about the View specificially because i'm dying without an mp3 player and I'm deciding between this, the Zen, or maybe the 80 gb zune.

get the sansa. the zen isn't as much "fun" and easy to use IMO. It's kinda awkward if you have big fingers. The zune i never cared for, kinda bulky, not the best software. get the sansa. NOW! ;)

80GB zune is definitely the one i would get. it is the biggest of the three but it makes up for this with a 3.2" screen and 80gigs of space

i would only use the sansa for short trips and at the gym

i know this is kind of dumb, but I don't really need 80gb. The only reason i'm considering the zune is because of the 3.2 inch screen.

The most concern to me is Sound Quality and so far it seems like the Creative Zen is going to have the best out of all of them. If the Zune comes out and has improved sound quality with custom eqs, i'll probably just get that.

if you're talking about the new zen then i would check if they fixed all the bugs in that. one of the most annoying is the SD slot quirks, plus i heard the video playing has issues (cant remember what)

i myself am considering the old zune 30gb which is just getting cheaper. you can get it for under $150 now and you can upgrade to add the newer features of the zune80
