    Plug speakers into subwoofer.
    Plug remote into subwoofer.
    Plug subwoofer into an outlet.
    Plug speaker system into computer.
Turn on speaker system with remote.

I've got Creative T3000's and that's basically what I did.

sorry but maybe my sentence was not too good to be understood.. :) i'm not talking about installing my 2.1 speaker. i basically knows that since my creative speakers come with a guide for that.

what i'm asking is about how to arrange my speakers... in other words where will i put the subwoofer and sattelite speakers? shall i put the sub at center and the two satellites at each side? or shall i put it in different place (set up)? how did you arrange your speakers?

I have my speakers on my desk and the subwoofer on a little shelf under my desk. The subwoofer would also do fine on the ground. That's how I have mine set up and I have several friends that do the same.

I recently bought Bose Companion 3 and well Subwoofer on the ground, turned to 2/3 bass and the 2 small speakers on each side of the table and the remote on the center of the table so its easily accessible.

Just so you get an idea of which speakers I have:

Nice set of speakers, I've seen those and tried them out in store. I like the little round volume control.

As for subwoofer positioning, it is commonly known now that subwoofer positioning does not matter because you don't necessarily hear the subwoofer based on positioning, but rather feel the bass.

So you can leave it under your desk or in a corner. I'd say it's best to put it behind or underneath something so it makes the bass richer. Like say a wooden desk cabinet or in the drawer.

    Cheers,
    Mike

In the drawer  ...that would make the whole table shake a lot :p . Mines under my wooden table right next to the drawer sides.
