my friend has a dell latitude D520 laptop, and somehow the F8 button came off. She needs a replacement F8 button for her keyboard on her dell latitude D520. Does anywhere know where she would be able to buy the single button online? All she needs is that one button, so she can just plop it right on. Any advice?

    Thanks in advance. ;)

How can one put a price one key?
I got one from a D800 if you think that will fit, probably 2$ for shipping in a bubbly envelope.

technically, I have done many notebook keyboard repairs/replacements.

You can save yourself some trouble if the key is still available and not broken (on the bottom). The mechanism underneath the key is what usually breaks, which cause the key to come off.

You can get that mechanism from a working key (that one rarely uses, like the Scroll Lock or Context Menu key)... and install it under your F8 key.

    its pretty straight-forward.

If the key is lost/missing, then yes, you would have to get a replacement key or the entire keyboard.
