I recently ordered an 11.6" laptop and want to purchase a sleeve for it before it arrives. I'm looking for something that I can use to protect the laptop in a larger bag - I already carry a fairly large bag for school, and do not wish to carry a separate bag for the laptop. It does not *have* to be pretty, though this is a plus. However, it must be appropriately sized, not too big, not too small, and without adding much bulk. I want it to fit snugly. The laptop dimensions are 11.4" x 8.03" x 1.2". It does not need to fit the power adapter.

I am finding it very difficult to find one that doesn't look too big or too small. If I find one that has the appropriate dimensions, it is too bulky.

    Can anyone help?

the 11 in looks like it's just a tad too small, unfortunately.

Check out BUILT NY sleeves... I find them to be the best in looks, protection, and usability.

I ordered one of those two, I regret it as I threw it away immediately.

    Two issues.

    1) The smell of neoprene or whatever chemicals they made that with was unbearable, absolutely unbearable even after febreze.

    2) If you order the exact same size as your notebook, it'll be VERY difficult to take it in and out because of the opening and closing flap design. This is coming from a guy that weightlifts regularly too.

    Thanks Cin!

I actually quite like the one you linked from Amazon, though I do like the Jet/Cabernet color so much better...it's too bad that one isn't the same price. This one might do the trick though!

Uh lol well I'll post back when it comes. :) I found it hard to find a good size, most of the other ones, were a tad bit too large for my laptop.

Zaum have a range of leather-free bags / sleeves. The Busta Corta are 13-inch sleeves which might work for you. ++ 100% Zaum Made ++

Melissa Beth have a range of extremely brightly coloured sleeves. https://www.melissabeth.com/Laptop-Sleeves.html

Barry's Farm has some individual sleeves. .: Barry's Farm :.

Acme made's slightly muted collection might also interest you.

Unfortunately these are all usually sized for Apple hardware, as people apparently believe that if you hanker towards style you will vacuously gravitate towards Apple. It's true to a large degree of course, but it does make life harder for those who make the smarter choice.

some of those are cute, but I'm hoping to stay around $20 for the sleeve for the moment. I might be able to go up to $30ish if I have to, but $40+ is a bit much.

Yeah, I think it's a nice Sleeve. :) Belkin is a solid, stable brand, and nicely priced. It's too bad about the Jet/Cabernet Color...that asking price of $35 is a bit to costly, for a sleeve. I guess it depends on the person though, and how much you want to spend!

You can get durable & reliable sleeves at the price point you are looking for! : )

I'd be tempted if it were really just $35...but once you add the $11 for shipping, it's a bit spendy.

This should not be so difficult! I think I'm having a harder time with the sleeve than I did with choosing the laptop!!!
