my dad got my mom this little dohickey, and so far we have been unable to use it. But tonight I tried to give it a shot and finally the computer recognized that there is something there (this pc is near 10 years old and runs xp, just in case it is relevant). So I go to my computer and it just so happens that the name for this thing does not change and stays as "drive f". I clicked on it and it said that "the drive has not yet been formatted". Do I need to do this? something I'm doing wrong?

What does it use a memory card into the picture frame? or just onboard memory?
-
we don't have a memory card for it so, yea, onboard memory

Its hard to say, but id think it should be okay to format it as fat32. I just hope the system files arent located on that same dump of memory. You might just want to get a memory card for them. You can get like 2gb sd cards for 4 bucks no days.

well, I'll ask my dad if I should. the only pictures on it are the factory default ones.
edit: wait I just now got what you said. I was thinking only the pictures would go, but I guess not >.>
