I have these realli old pair of computer speakers it says Compact disc Unitone SB 668 i guess thats the model. Anyways i dug dem up last nite so i cud plug my ipod in and use as an alarm cuz my alarm clock broke. Ok i hooked up the speakers to each other, one of them goes into the wall for power, the other has an end that goes into a computer or in this case my ipod. However the wierd thing is i nevered pluged in my Ipod and as soon as i plugged the speakers into the wall i hear a chinese music that comes out of only one of the speaker. It like its catchign sum chinese radio stations or something. Freaked me out so i had to shutoff one the speakers and just use the other one for my alarm. Anyoen got an idea wats going on!?!?! How can speaker just catch a radio signal and start playing i dont get it.

wierd, I don't think a speaker itself cam become a radio, there must be some other type of circuitry inside the speaker casing.

Some component in your speakers is very poorly shielded, and is picking up the radio signal and transmitting it to the amplification circuitry. It's not uncommon.

An unshielded line-in cable would be my guess. Try moving or coiling the line-in cable and see if it helps.

It's not really that weird. Some headphones can slightly pick up poor radio signals for some reason when they are plugged in to something. I can't explain it though but I'm aware that it happens sometimes.
speakerz turn into radio?
