Logitech makes some good surround speakers - the X530 (about $60), the Z5300 (about $140) and the Z5500 (about $250) are all good sound systems.

Altec Lansing also makes good speakers. Look at the GT5051 and VS3151 models.

I suggest you check out the sound on the 5760, after buying it. I am sure the sound will be good, for notebooks. If you still feel you need better sound, you can always buy an external sound card, like the Creative Audigy 2ZS for Notebooks.

I have the Logitech x530's and I love them. They are great for gaming or watching a movie on my PC. And cheap too!

    I have the Logitech Z-5500.
It was working great but recently have some weird intermittent crackling/popping sound so I had to RMA it.
Hopefully when they send it back it is perfect again.

Good thing about the Z-5500 is you can hook up 3 Audio system Analog, 1 coaxial and 1 Optical.

The NP5760 uses the ALC880 Audio CODEC / WOW ASP supported by the Azalia High Definition audio on the Intel chipset and has 4 Multi-purpose audio jacks for complete 7.1 surround sound performance. The Audigy card is only useful for laptops with inferior audio...and that cannot be said of these Sager models.

Sagers do have great audio . . I have mine hooked up to a Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speaker system. Sound is fantastic. The Intel High-Definition audio is much better than AC'97 as found in older laptops in my opinion.
I have an Audigy 2 in my desktop, and while playing games, even with EAX enabled, I honestly can't tell the difference.

Just a note - let's keep all the accessory-related questions in the Accessory forum so we can isolate the discussion in the Sager forum to Sagers. ;) I let the first one or two go but for the sake of simplicity, I'm going to refer all the more recent ones to the Accessories forum.

logitech speakers are great whether is the z5500 or z5450 (wireless!) also they make great notebook speakers 2.1. Klipsch makes some good speakers as does creative. Altec lansing isn't to bad either really.
