im looking to get a timbuk2 command or d-lux racer messenger bag in medium.
i use the laptop in my sig which is 15.6 inches and weighs around 7.5 lbs. it also has a large 120watt psu.
will the M size be adequate space for the laptop in the sleeve? i saw videos with the L messenger bag and they do look huge. i wanna a get something much smaller than that. the problem is locally they are not available and i need to order one online and have it brought to me by a relative from the states.
so i will be gauging size only by what people comment on. also, replacing it for a larger or smaller size might prove difficult since there are no available stores nor stocks in my country.
hope you guys can help.

I had a similar Timbuk2 M bag and my ALienware M15x didnt fit at all ! not even close, they may have started making them different. I got my the summer of 2009.

check the dimensions at ebags.com
really helpful when buying laptop bags -

Here are the Demensions of the M15x ( also weight )
Dimensions (WD): 14.9x12.2 inches
Height: 1.9 inches
Screen size (diagonal): 15.6 inches
System weight / Weight with AC adapter : 9.4/10.9 pounds -
7.38 LBs with Battery Pack
14.75" (w) x 10" (d) x 1.65" (h)
its definitely a little smaller than the aw
but when i computed real dimensions here (dimensions tab):
M max true width: 16.00 max true height:12.30
my laptop came out with :
max true width:16.4 max true height:11.65
so im a little worried about the width. in your experience, was your problem with the width or height of your AW? -
yeah width is what im worried about too and i dont think thyve changed designs since summer 09.
maybe its time for me to look elsewhere. -
well they do have an L which i thin is too big from pictures ive seen.
ive got a oakley back pack which works perfectly for me, i just got sold on the design and durability of the timbuk2 command -all of which counts for zilch if my lappy wont fit -
yeah, i travel a lot too and the timbuk2 command wouldve been perfect. i think my only option would be to fit it personally to my laptop but alas its not available locally where i live.
timbuk2 M: will my 15.6 inch laptop fit?
