    Hi
    I currently have a Dell 600M and a set of Altec Lansing 2100.
    I wonder if usb sound card is really a good upgrade for me. Is the sound on those usb sound card make my listening experience better than now?
    Should I upgrade?

    For two speakers (like me), I'd recommend the http://www.soundblaster.com/products/MP3+/ - Creative MP3+. It's very easy on your system, only $40, and doesn't require an external power source - it draws its power from the USB slot.

    However, if you're set in a surround sound mode, I'd recommend the Audigy 2 NX. While not performing quite as well as the MP3+, it is UBER full featured, and can take care of any sound requirements you could need (sans professional stuff), including DVD-Audio.
