S video isnt high definition and i want to play high definition games on my laptop with my xbox 360. Is the s video jack the only jack that will work with xbox to laptop?

I seriously doubt you have a VGA input on your laptop. Only very, very high-end boutique laptops have VGA in.

So your only option is to buy a Digital TV Tuner with support for a Component Video interface which is HD. If you cant find any TV Tuners with a Component Interface then you have to use a TV Tuner with Composite or S-Video which isnt HD standard.

No because it only outputs video not input.

d00d ... read your owners manuals. Your laptop came with them for a reason and explains the functions of all these ports.

Get a high-def TV capture card with component input, that's the only thing I can think of, you certainly won't get high-def input as-is.
