    Hello everyone!

I was looking for a backpack for the pcg-v505dx (12.1"), and would love for some help and suggestions. I need it to be very durable (and I'm not sure if the straps are good enough) and be able to carry stuff in addition to the laptop.

    How do the following look?

I have the Victorinox WebSak and it is the best laptop bag I've ever owned. The only negative I have is it does not have ample space to stow other stuff...books, clothes, etc. In addition to my laptop (v505 B), I can also fit some rain gear (jacket and pants) and 1 or two books, depending on their size.

If you go Victorinox, you should be happy. Although the bag you're looking at is different from mine, they are constructed of the same material which is a high density ballastic nylon. This gives it a sturdy feel, offers water and puncture resistancy, and helps prevents rips from getting larger.

I'd also suggest the Jansport Optimizer. I'll be doing a review on it shortly, but have been happy with it thus far. It doesn't offer the same laptop protection that comes with a Victorinox, but does offer ample space for storing extra stuff. It's priced pretty moderate and would also make a nice choice.

I'm testing the Spire right now. I'm not sure the material quality is as good as the ones mentioned thus far though. For your need, I'd strongly recomment the Jansport. I love the straps and it has tons of room, without being bulky. Plus it has the best drop protection that I've seen in a notebook backpack.

I've never used them, but I have heard good things about www.booqbags.com
