Almost all games now support 16:9.
But yeah I'd still go for 16:10 it's more standardized.

I think dell monitors are great too. The ultrasharps are good, but the 1920*1080 one is newer and has a higher resolution.

Not in my recent experiences... Between my actual screens and in stores... HP's look best beyond every other one. Dells dont look bad, but HP's look brighter and crisper.

But its also the settings applied to them.

My current monitor, a 22" Acer (x223wbd), is selling now for $150. Very good picture, good contrast, some backlight bleed, but all in all for $150 a fantastic deal. You could buy 2 of those for the price of that Dell monitor, and while it may and probably does have a higher quality display, depends on how much that is worth to you when the difference may be negligible.

Acer monitors suck - compare a samsung or dell side by side to an acer - it's a night and day difference all around.

Same, I have the monitor I suggested and TBH it's the nicest screen I've ever sat in front of. But I don't like to argue about opinions, I like it, he doesn't.
    Meh.
