After I keep on loading music on to my ipod for more 40mins... my ibook turns very hot,I don't like a hot ibook at all, it just can't be right. Therefore I try a notebook cooler which does cool my ibook within 15 mins for around 10 degrees(centigrade). I was wondering if there is any one has the same experience as I have? and how do you fellows think about a notebook cooler? Personally, I think it is really handy and it works efficiently; it should be good for the operation of notebooks. here is a link for you fellows reference:

I just bought an Acer TravelMate 8104 WLMi (equivalent to a Ferrari Acer), and in anticipation of getting it, I was considering the Roadtool's Podium CoolPad.

Anyone have an opinion of it?

I wanted it mainly b/c it doesn't use fans or need a USB connection (the airflow underneath is supposed to keep the laptop cooler). Plus, the 360-degree swivel of the cooler seems to be a handy feature.

I'm thinking about it buying it from the Apple Store Online at http://store.apple.com/AppleStore/W...iGq6/10.SLID?pn=10&nclm=9D20016C&mco=CA161FB9
    for $29.

As long as nothing is impeding the airflow under the notebook, you should be alright. That Podium cooler doesn't seem to be anything special, more of something to elevate the notebook. I also think that $29 is a bit much for that.

I recommend one of the cooling pads manufacturered by Vantec - their aluminum ones are spectacular.

i've read a lot of articles about notebook cooling... (just dip in this issue :p ) it seems like a "fan to blow" cooler works more efficiently... it forces to dissipate.

anyway, i think each company gets their point, that is a good thing. but the most important matter is to let more fellows know too cool notebook is important... it saves a lot of troubles

check out that thread for my post on the lapcool4.

if your too lazy to look...the lapcool2 is amazing for cooling my machine, it blows air upwards for better intake for your fans. also it is very durrable and portable.

the lapcool4 has a 7 in 1 memory card reader, 4 USB ports and 2 storage slots on its underside and folds up. it also looks very durrable. plus it accomidates 17" lappys!!!

i think white is fine for me... just match up my ibook G4 ;)

you fellows really should consider Lapcool4.... it's bloody jewel like
