im planning on getting the g1s soon. along with the computer id like to purchase a bunch of gaming accessories and since i work at best buy some of these accessories may or may not be a lot cheaper.
im planning on getting:
- Logitech G15 gaming keyboard to go with the ASUS mouse
- 5.1 speaker set (not sure yet perhaps the klipshe)
- headset (not sure exactly)
- chill pad
- belkin n1 wireless n router (with mimo)
- laptop lock
what do you guys have in your rig. pics and suggestions for me would be great.
anything else i should think about, certain cables, wireless units, etc?

usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
Sony Over the Ear Stereo Studio Headphones
Logitech G5 -
Alienware Area-51 M5790
Razer Copperhead
Logitech G7 (back up mouse)
X-Ray Thunder 8 Pro Mousing Surface
Shure E530PTH
Spire Pacific Breeze -
what are you guys using as notebook sleeves, cases, bags.
im gonna use the asus g1s backpack for carrying around, but i also want a fitted sleeve to just cover it from scratches and im looking on a carrying case perhaps a nice aluminum one like the ones in the movies that carry guns or money. As far as the sleeve goes, i want something stylish and simple. I think ive seen sleeves for the macbooks and they are nice, simple, fitted, and they got the job done. are sleeves universal or do they have one for the g1s? -
and as far as speakers go, what do you guys use?
i plan on getting a 2.1 for my laptop, and then ill be getting a 5.1 for my dorm room for TV, ps2, movies, things like that. any recommendations. i dont need anything too loud but i want great sound quality with nice surround sound. -
-Compal HEL80 and its monitor/keyboard which are good/comfortable enough for me (w/ the caps lock turned into a ctrl key for various reasons)
-4 bottle caps (cheap/fanless cooler; it props the laptop up for better air flow)
-Revised Logitech G5 (the one with 2 side buttons; mainly because the material it's made out of doesn't build up my dead skin/sweat and I'm a high sensitivity player so I'll pretty much never reach the malfunction speed)
-Razer Armadillo (got it for cheap; otherwise just use some tape and a rock for "cord management", heh)
-fUnc sUrface 1030 mousepad (it's small and nice; you might need larger if you're a mid/low sensativity player; your ASUS mouse is probably a MX518 so any pad that is comfortable to you should work)
-Icemat Siberia headset (I'd recommend to not go with a speaker system just for gaming if you do a lot of online play and use VOIP like Vent)
I just use a cheap Newegg messenger bag so I can't really help you out there. -
what does the razer armadillo do? im at the site but it doesnt really show what it does.. ohh nvm i see it. its for the mouse wire correct? does that really help?
the speakers i probably wont use so much for gaming but music and such. but if it can act as a surround sound then i might use it for some gaming.
is razer a good brand when it comes to gaming devices? do they have something to compete with logitechs G15 keyboard?
is there anything else i may be missing? even little things like cables or small devices? -

anyone know anything about those speakers..
they seem pretty cool as you can plug two things at a time and have them both play for example your pc as well as an ipod. -
razer is a good brand imo. they make solidly build products with good driver support.
razer makes a gaming keyboard that can compete with the G15. does not have as many features as the g15 but it is still solid. its called the razer tarantula. google it for more details. i have yet to try it out but i kinda need to build me another desktop to do so. the keyboard on my notebook does fine for me. -
soo does anyone know anything about the altec lansing speakers or any other speakers for under 100 that can do 5.1 surround and another set of speakers for 2.1.
