    Hi,
I just read your posting. :)

I bought a black padded water-resistant port-a-cover for my HP dv5000 from http://www.portacovers.com/Laptopcovers.com it was exactly what I was loking for!

The best thing about it is that the cover stays on while I'm using my laptop! I close it, pick it up, and carry it by the straps. Also, when I put it in my bag, I just pull it out by the handles. It is extremely helpful when I am at the office using it while I am standing up!

It has a clear plastic screen protector, a large front pocket, and D rings for attaching removable straps and velcro or zipper closure.
