    Hi.

I only use my mouse for gaming, when i use office stuff i use the touchpad usually.

I was using a logitech ifeel mouse for the past 7 years. Im getting a new laptop now and i want to get a new mouse

    why?

because i normally game on the bed :D

with the ifeel i usually had to put a book or something under it for it to work properly.

i cant give you a list of games im gonna be using, because im a bit out of touch with gaming and when i get my new laptop im definitely gonna game on it with similar games

i used to play starcraft, serious sam, max payne, hitman, age of empires, counter strike, tactical ops.

dell is giving me a dell premium 4 button mouse. who's the OEM for this mouse? anyway, is that sufficient or should i look into laser mice and the like? please advise whats a good mouse. im not too concerned with the price, im looking more for value. so if an expensive mouse is offers more features that i would use, i dont mind paying extra.

    thanks :)

p.s, im not sure about the whole mouse sensitivity and higher dpi issue, i've never tried anything better so i dont know how much better it would feel. can anyone who's played those games on a better mouse tell me what the main noticeable benefits are?

Logitech MX518. I now refuse to use anything else (except maybe the G5 and G7).

Either way: Gaming on Bed = Overheating Laptop.

G5 is great on the bed. Generally look for a gaming oriented mouse that you find comfortable and uses a higher end laser.

Second the MX518. I have three of them and am not even a gamer. Bought the first one because a friend suggested it, and it was on sale at the time. It's the best I've ever used and seem indestructible. I think they're all about three years old and two of them are often carelessly used and abused by my two sons. Can't believe neither has ever failed. LOL

If you dont want a logitech ( which is understandable if you ask me ) then i'd recommend the Razer Lachesis, I have used this for about 2 months now and i love it.
Or for an untested mouse that i think looks awesome (but isnt available until october) the Roccat Kone

That Roccat Kone looks so badass! It's like a hybrid of Logitech's shape and Razer's lighting. But yeah, Razer is a great alternative to Logitech. I've personally used a Diamondback, Diamondback 3G, and Copperhead, all of which are totally awesome for gaming. I tried out a Logitech MX Revolution but slightly disliked it because of the thumbwheel and the general form factor.
