    Are you looking for portability or is sound quality the most important? What kind of system, 2 speaker, 2.1, 5.1? Also, what is your budget?

    I think the guy was referring to integrated speakers.

    The Harmon Kardons are by far the best laptop speakers ever made. Great sound quality through and through. Good bass too. One can even argue that a seperate set of speakers aren't needed for laptops equipped with Harmon Kardons; it's that good. Can't say the same for the other two brands though.

    Ahh, thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately I can't offer an opinion, I have not heard any of the integrated systems :(

    i would have to agree with the harmon kardon speakers, they have the clearest sound WITH bass (usually non-existant in most notebooks) in any of the notebooks i've tried.

    Yeah - harman/kardon all the way. I had an HP with them - I have yet to see another notebook with better speakers. I used it as a stereo even! Stayed crisp and clear all the way to the top of the volume...
