    I want something like this:
    Veho Website - Product Detail
but without having to use a dongle (ie using my laptop's built in wifi). I can't seem to find anything, am I just not looking hard enough?

There are better solutions for wireless speakers (mostly relying on 2.4Ghz wireless) that will be cheaper, provide better quality, and give you more purchasing options.

Is there a specific reason why you want WiFi-enabled speakers

Well the main reason is so that I can play mixes from my laptop whilst in the shower, without having to worry about my laptop getting wet! Or take it outside without having to take my laptop, etc etc.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Just about any portable, battery powered wireless speaker system will do the trick for you. I'd go with a single-unit design that has both speakers in a single device, rather than designs that have 2 separate speaker units.

I haven't used this particular product before (Logitech Z515), but this is the one I'd go with if I were you. Amazon.com: Logitech Wireless USB Speaker Z515: Electronics

It gives you the option of using either 2.4Ghz wireless (through a USB dongle) or Bluetooth audio (should be built in to your laptop already). But personally, I'd go with 2.4Ghz wireless, because it will have better range and be more resistant to interference than Bluetooth connections.

I'm still looking for something if anyone knows of a set? The key is one without a dongle, that i can use straight from my wifi card.

You'd think they'd post something useful in specs. like speaker driver's size and frequency response. I can't tell if the speakers are worth or not the money. You should inquire more about this item and look up some feedback or else you could possibly be the first one that will purchase the first set.

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm really looking for something specific: wifi controlled from my wifi card, no usb or anything.

Look for DLNA or Airplay (iTunes) compliant speakers. They exist and I think that's what you want.

That, or a receiver that can play back media from a DLNA (or Windows or Airplay) source. Some Wifi internet radios have that functionality.

Probably be better looking for bluetooth rather than wifi, just more common for this sort of task.

Most higher end laptops have internal bluetooth, those that do not can use a micro adapter.
