if your laptop has a usb 2 port, any usb mouse will work.

this one happens to be a gaming mouse, designed for gaming.......not for laptop use. there are heaps of mice designed for laptops, that tend to be small and probably less power hungry.

so to get to the point, what are you going to be doing with the mouse? playing games, or just normal everyday use.

pretty much any mouse out there that works for a desktop, will work for a laptop and vice versa. Just find one that is comfortable, wireless or wired and it will work with your laptop.

    g5 would be sweet then.

just make sure that you liek the feel of it first.

you might also want to check the razer diamondback/copperhead, the logitech g9, the microsoft habu and the microsoft sidewinder.

just find something that feels comfortable as everyones hands are different.

If you also look at Razer mice, I highly recommend the diamondback 3g.
But yeah, go to a bestbuy or something and try them out first

Get the G5. It works. I have both the old version of the G5 with only 1 thumb button and the newer version that has 2 thumb buttons (the one in the link). They will work and the software is awesome. When I went to install the software for the mouse on the notebook, it noticed I had a touch pad and just installed the drivers for the mouse. Also the G5 has customizable weights. The software is fully customizable when it comes to games, which is nice compared to some mice I have tried and they have a nice feel to them.
