I have an old laptop the Toshiba Satellite A30-303. It was a gift from one of my Italian friends. I can't read Italian but here read
    Communicazione totale
    Modem V.90 data/fax * LAN integrata * Wireless LAN opzionale * i.Link (IEEE 1394) * Fast InfradRed.

I do not have the stock driver disc. Yet, in hardware manager I do not see any wireless device at all, so I assume this laptop does not have any wireless capability.

Here is my question. If I want to purchase this USB wireless device, will it work with my system?

    Thanks.

"opzioinale" = option, so no your laptop probably don't have a wifi card, quite an old model.

To answer your question, yes, any USB wireless device should work. Or perhaps a PCMCIA solution will work too, then you won't have to use one of your USB ports.
