Depends on the computer OS. If you are running XP, then you can run your mouse with the generic XP driver.

Yes, XP should recognize the mouse and use it's generic driver for it. The only problems with having no software is you may not be able to change what some of the buttons do on your mouse (if it has anything beyond the standard ones) or you won't be able to control the speed of the mouse and your notebook touchpad seperately.

It also depends on the type of wireless mouse. if you have something complicated like a Logitech MX series mouse, then you might have to install the supplied drivers/software. if you have a plain and simple mouse, you'll be able to use the xp generic drivers.

Either way, mouse software is nothing you should worry about. If a wireless mouse needs drivers, then they will be supplied togeather with the mouse.

I think this is the driver you are looking for...but you shouldn't need it.
