I have the pc wireless receiver for my 360 controller and want to install it on my new laptop with the vista 64 os, but I left the driver disc at home (3000 miles away) and windows won't automatically find the drivers when I plug it in. I found the driver for vista 64 on the microsoft site, but every time I try to download it it slows down when it's around 30% and eventually comes to a stop. Then I get a message saying that my connection to the site has been reset and the download has failed after about half an hour, which after a few tries gets really aggravating. Is there anywhere else I can get this driver? I can find xp, vista 32, and even Win 7 drivers, but not the one I need.

Yeah, there you go. Find it and impress me. If you read my post you would see that I've already tried that and came up with every driver except the one I need.

just add vista to your search.

if your having issues d/l from the MS site or windows update I would try a different browser and make sure your not using any kind of download manager.

Vista 64bit uses the majority of 32bit vista applications and drivers. I have it on my computer at home but it was automatic when I plugged it in.

    Anyways be impressed - http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/2...1-windows-xp-x64-vista-x64-free-download.html

I also just d/led it from the MS site with no issues even on this slow wi-fi at work.
