I will be buying a webcam for my m140 and I can use some suggestions....I noticed the logitech gets good reviews (I have the 4000 on my home dimension)...but they mention usb1 and usb2....can you guys explain usb1 and usb 2 to me? Will my M140 support either and which should I get?
here's a link the camera....only downside is it doesn't clip on some screens...

    USB 1.1 is 48mbps l *think*, while USB 2.0 is at 480mbps

The usb ports on the m140 and i'm pretty sure all pcs/laptops today are usb 2.0 and full compatible with usb 1.1 products.

USB 1.1 is 12Mb/s, not 48. But getting a camera that utilizes USB 2.0 would indicate it's cable of handling more data more quickly, to even need that higher speed. That would say to me it's a higher quality camera. The thing is...capturing that much data(more than say 8Mb/s) would usually, even with compression, push most people's broadband connections to the limit. So if you're using it as a webcam...I doubt it'd be very useful. If you use it for just general recording that you don't immediately broadcast out, perhaps it'd be beneficial.
