I think your best bet is to measure your laptop and look at the measurements for the product. I emailed shinza and the gal said it would fit my notebook. I wasn't convinced and gave her again the measurements and she said it might not fit. Hmmm. I ended up with a Case Logic as I could get it locally. I did talk with the people at Waterford and they were very responsive. They actually had a "board" with the exact dimensions of my G1 on hand to try it out on the different sleeves. But alas, they don't make a vertical one that fits.

hmmm yeah it measured it. it fits because its a regular 14 inch. not the widescreen version. that extra inch helps.
for some reason it wont let me buy it. the creditcard setup is all wierd. it asks for credit card code or something. it doesnt even ask for what type of card it is.

Can anyone else confirm that this will fit with a 9 cell battery with the Dell Vostro 1400?

Ive not found a notebook sleeve that will hold a extended battery. My 17 inch Shinza would not fit the battery, it was pretty snug on my notebook.
