I don't understand why your su3500 doesn't slow down to SuperLFM. The SuperLFM voltage is the lowest possible value which should be around 0.875V. 0.9V at 6x and 7x is standard. Did you check on Vista first?
-
No I installed Win7 pretty much right away when I got my 3810t.
-
Maybe Win7 is still too buggy. You should find someone else with an 3810t and ask him/her what CPU-Z reports.
-
Well shouldn't I be able to change the voltages of 6x and 7x?
They seem to be locked at 0.900 or 0.9125.
Guess I'll try and find another win7 3810t user and see how it works for him. -

When I use RMClock, my computer won't drop into SuperLFM either, der_mali.
-
Hmm.. you are on to something
@wbm
Try again with RMClock disabled. Right click on its icon in task bar and click exit. Then check CPU-Z again. -
When I tried last time I did it with RMClock disabled, tried it again now and same result.
This is btw how my profiles look like, no SuperLFM or IDA.Attached Files:

Do a "powercfg -energy" report, and paste it here.

Guys, I was checking out this thread earlier and there was an amazon link to a new model advertising 11 hours. I think it was $729.99, does anyone have that link?

Is there anyway to auto-on Bluetooth everytime I start up my Timeline? I'm using a Bluetooth mouse and I have to press Fn+F3 everytime I logon to enable Bluetooth.

Which is the best way to manager power and prolong battery life? Use Acer's PowerSmart or disable PowerSmart and change settings under power options?

Without this information I had NEVER noticed the small plastic circle on the webcam lens, which was blurring my picture. NEVER! Despite the fact that I suspected it after reading this message and inspected the lens, I did NOT see the plastic. I had to look very closely - and I STILL did NOT see it. I had to SCRATCH with my nail before the edge of the plastic loosened, becoming thus visible, and the video cleared into normal sharpness!!! -

After that i installed Windows Vista, also using up 18-20mw but i couldnt change the screen brightness and i think it was on maximum brightness, so if the screen was dimmed i think it would do a little bit better than in Windows7.
So what now?

Update:
I'm using CrystalCPUID now. With the function "Enhanced Intel Speedstep Control" I created a shortcut on the desktop that activates 7.0x/0,875V. RMclock itself uses CPU cycles, so this is a more efficient solution. The disadvantage is that it has to be reactivated after every standby.Click to expand...
and it would executed after every resume for standby ;-) -

Thanks! I'll try it when I get the Win7 upgrade -

Hi everyone
I got the same issue here. (3810T with SU3500)
I tried the whole tweak under win7 x64 AND the vista x32 but when I check the voltages with rmclock or cpuz, I get 0.900V.
The core vids seem to be stuck at 0.900V... It's bit weird espcially when it's working on some laptop... I don't get it -
Hi all,

could anybody find a change log? -
When we gonna receive Win7, will it be on a DVD? Then how can we install it?
Also, does that mean we dont need the vista recovery drive anymore? -

Just flashed my 5810T from bios v1.20 to v2.30 in Vista32 without any problems.
Well 1 problem in my device manger i now have a yellow warning saying "microsoft ISATAP adaper #3"
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
This error was not there before i updated the bios, when i click on update driver it says i have the latest version.
I managed to find a fix , see below.
1. Click on Start, type Device Manager in the search box.
2. In Device Manger, right-click the item of Microsoft ISATAP and select Uninstall.
3. Still in Device Manager, click Action and select Add legacy hardware.
4. Click next, and select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced), click next.
5. Select Network Adapters and click next.
6. Select Microsoft in left panel and Microsoft ISATAP Adapter in the right panel.
7. Click next and finish the remaining wizard. -

Hi,
I read that the current BIOs for the 8471/8371 Travelmate series has improved fan control - the fan seems to reduce its speed even with external power.
Has the latest BIOs for the 4810T model also an improved fan behaviour?

Hi guys!
I'm running windows 7 on my 3810tz and have a problem. I've read through this thread, but havent found a solution.
the problem is with the sensor buttons. Especially the "smart power button" which doesnt work while charging and changes only switchable gpu if activated. I would like it to adjust display brightness and windows energy efficiency mode too.
I'm not going to use the acer utility to backup data so I'd like to map the button for some application. The only thing I'm looking for is an application, that allows me to customize those buttons
Thanks for any help -
hello,
I've just bought an acer 1810tz in france , very nice !!
just a question , how to set video memory ?
in bios i 've 4 go ram and 64 mo video
but it's grey so i can't change the value for video
what should i do ?? i think 64 mo is a bit short in order to play a little with the 1810tz
thanks for your help !! -
The iGP will use as much RAM as it needs to run a game dynamically. No need to configure anything.

Hello to all,
I have a problem on my laptop, I'm using 5810T, a few days ago, the hard drive crashed so I had to replace it with a new one, I purchased a new hard drive with the same capacity and speed but of a different brand, the original HDD that came with my laptop is WD, now I have Toshiba in it, the problem is this: I reinstalled the new HDD, booted the computer to read from a CD then I inserted the factory image disc I created from the 5810T system, it was able to read both discs 1 & 2 of the backup, it copied the files and restarted for the installation process, but after restarting, the installation halts and a dialogue box appears saying "The system cannot install windows on this computer; restart the installation" so that's what I did, I repeated the installation for 2 more times but with the same problem at the same stage.
Can anyone tell me if there's anything I need to do first before running the factory image discs? the new HDD is not yet formatted when I installed the discs, is it the possible reason why the installation failed several times? If that's the only problem, then I will take out the new HDD, put it in a hard drive enlosure and connect it to a working XP computer to format the new HDD.
If anobody knows other problems and solutions about this issue, please tell me immediately so that other in this forum will also be able to solve the same issues if ever they experience it in the future.
or please send me the solutions to my personal email [email protected]
Thanks a lot! -
Whoops, wrong thread, sorry.

I have been trying to update my Web - camera driver, as mine shows the 6/221/2006 Microsoft driver. I have loaded the newest Chicony software but this is not the driver.
If anyone shows something other than the MS driver, I'd like to update mine also.. please let me know how this was done.
Thanks
Scott -
Since no responses here, sort of as I thought.. we are all using the same MS driver.. which works fine.

Just flashed to bios v1.33 in windows all went fine, though cpu usage went to 68% while flashing then the notebook auto re-booted, no new options in the bios or anything new to report.
