LOL. I think it's quite OK.
However, I bought a wrong Power Supply Unit(PSU), I should have bought the 650Watt's instead of 550Watt's. So, in the future, I can just buy another Radeon HD5870 and CrossFire will the Old Radeon HD5870. Wrong decision. T.T

Wow, I still can't get the touch volume control panel on the left side to work. The blue lines are all the way up indicating sound is full blast and the mute button is highlighted. I tried updating the sound driver, launch manager, etc.. but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

if the mute button is highlighted then it is muted, it needs to be off, and also the lock button. does none of the panel work? try tapping the + or - at the ends of the sliders. sometimes the vol slider gets stuck. do you have sound at all, in start bar, in device manager? more info will get you more help. somewhere there is a thread to reset the panel by removing the power and battery.

None of the panel works. Tried removing the battery and tapping the + and -, still stuck. I do have sound and can control the volume from the taskbar icon, however. I shall keep trying!

Edit: I should mention that the touch panel worked great when I had Vista installed. It's only since I installed Windows 7 did the panel stop working

I have Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on my 6920G.
I cannot get my express card slot to work.

I use a firewire to express card adapter to transfer video from my video camera to pc.
Worked fine before going to Windows 7.
Is there a specific driver for this?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hey,

so I just upgraded my Acer aspire 6920 to windows 7 home premium, 64 bit. I was able to get everything working, except the volume touch controls.. kind of..

I installed the launchmanager under compatability mode. The play, skip, etc buttons, as well as the mute buttons work. Also, the + and - buttons do adjust the volume. The blue LEDs that indicate the sound level, however, do not correspond to the correct values, and if I change the volume from the taskbar's control, it is not updated/shown on the blue LED touchpad.

Is this just how it is, or is there a way to fix this?

    thanks!

I used the original Vista Launch Manager, and mine still works just fine.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling it, or without Compatibility Mode.

SO, I noticed something. When I boot windows, and I am at the blue login screen, the color saturation is NORMAL. When I log on, I can actually watch the screen's saturation suddenly change to the new oversaturated settings. What would be causing this?

You need to re-install arcade deluxe or Cyberlink PowerDVD, microsoft dosn't currently support Blu-ray playback in media player or media center.

Im using Acer 6920g.. Currently, everything working perfectly fine, without any freezing. My touchpad button on the left and web cam working perfectly fine.

Well, what I did was simple. First, you just reformat your laptop to your stock OS. Then, install all the necessary driver. After that, you MUST remove the anti virus that comes with it first, and optionally you can remove all those unnecessary software that comes with Acer.

Lastly, just put the Window 7 cd and choose the Upgrade option, not the Install. After the upgrade complete, you'll be surprise that everything working fine. Except for one thing that I can't solve. There's a delay for the thumbprint icon to show itself during the logon screen. Like 5 secs delay. Well, besides that, everything seems working perfectly fine.

You need three things (aside from a Blu-ray playing software, of course) in order to play Blu-ray discs - a WHQL-certified video driver, a WHQL-certified audio driver, and a genuine verified Windows operating system.
Get the first from Nvidia.com (195.62 has a brightness control issue, get 186.81 instead), the second is covered by the original Realtek audio driver from Windows Vista, should install just fine, and you should already have the last one (if not, naughty naughty).

    Hi,

I've been having this problem for like 4 days now. It started out of sudden.
The laptop randomly freezes and is unable to run after (need to turn it off using the power button).

    - I scanned it for spyware and viruses using multiple software - found nothing
    - Checked the drive using the windows tool, checked RAM with various software - no errors
    - I did not install any new software lately (pretty sure about this)
    - Installed the newest Intel Matrix Storage Manager (since I found it may be causing freezing problem), also used the registry trick - no succes
    - I rulled out web browser as a possible problem (tried FF and IE)

    - I noticed increased power consumption while running on battery (from 15mWh to over 22mWh)

I'm afraid this really may be hardware related issue, but I cannot afford to have it serviced at this time.

Any suggestions of what might be the problem?
    Thanks a lot!
(This really pisses me off since it's not a long time ago that i fixed the throttling issue....really wanna run the laptop over with a car:/)
